WASA: Manage water efficiently

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) is asking customers to manage their water use due to the current Adverse Weather Alert the country is under.

According to a press release from the Authority, the heavy rains and winds associated with such weather systems may affect operations at several of the Authority’s water treatment facilities, due to a combination of factors such as turbid river conditions, clogged intakes and power failures.

Therefore, customers are advised to maintain/establish a system of storage and also manage their water use efficiently, by reducing consumption. This can be done by eliminating wasteful practices, repairing leaks and overflowing water tanks at home and in businesses.
